DDDD - Thinking, Sharing, Daring & Doing
An annual network event that many people look forward to, the ‘DDDD event’ (Denken – Delen – Durven – Doen), supported by a unique sponsor collective initiated by Jongsma Solutions. The event is organized every year with great enthusiasm, where many entrepreneurs are present, where connecting is the key element.
Each sponsor invites its own guests. In recent years, each sponsor had his own sloop boat filled with ten guests. Sailing across the Frisian lakes with locally smoked eel as a stopover, followed by an inspiring session by a well-known speaker followed by a BBQ and live performance. This was the basis for a unique network event with valuable encounters. Perfect to end the summer period!
DDDD helps talented and elite athletes get started
Topsport NOORD
The DDDD collective supports the development of the sport of skating. Therefore, the 10 sponsors of the DDDD collective have chosen to support Topsport NOORD in Heerenveen in a unique combination with the cost of transportation. Through a joint contribution from Jongsma Solutions and 10 sponsors, Topsport NOORD can use a bus to allow skating talents to train optimally at various locations.
Topsport NOORD is committed to good guidance and development of talents and top athletes in the Northern Netherlands. This guidance and support play a crucial role in the careers of talented and elite athletes. After all, all the preconditions must be optimal for an athlete to be fully engaged in a sports career. Through a joint contribution from the DDDD collective for a bus, Topsport NOORD is able to provide optimal training for its skating talents at various locations.
The annual closing skating event
De Zilveren Bal
The Silver Ball is the world’s fastest skating show and took place for the seventh time at the Elfstedenhal in Leeuwarden on Wednesday evening, March 8, 2023. Sprinting, straight ahead. That is the essence of skating and that is De Zilveren Bal. The spectacular and exciting show over 100 meters,with the best international sprinters at the start, you won’t see anywhere else in the world! Absolute top sport in combination with unique entertainment delivers a great evening!
De Zilveren Bal is a unique event and therefore offers unique opportunities for the corporate market to connect with the event. Companies can be brought to the attention of visitors, participants and other businesses in a variety of ways, both prior to and during the event. It’s also a great experience to stand in the front row with associates or clients as the world’s fastest sprinters race toward the finish line.

Jongsma was a sponsor of Desly Hill Institute's skating team
Jongsma Engineering Solutions sponsored the new Desly Hill Institute team and provided a new Peugeot Boxer for the 2017/2018 skating season for the Olympic dream of Sjoerd de Vries and Vanessa Bitner, among others. In addition, Wietze Jongsma together with sponsors Beenen Heerenveen and Oenema Oosterwolde made it possible for the training camp to Norway to take place.
